Wegovy pen cost and supply
Use the labelled presentation supplied to you. This tool does not calculate injection doses from clicks.
This is stock and cost arithmetic, not prescribing advice. An estimate assumes the pens remain within their expiry and storage limits and that your prescription does not change. Start and discard each pen as its leaflet instructs. If your prescription, pack or dose count differs from an option here, ask your pharmacist.
Why clicks are not a validated dose-setting method
The sound or feel of a selector is not the dose display. The manufacturer’s FlexTouch instructions require the prescribed dose to line up with the dose pointer and expressly advise against counting pen clicks. A chart based on assumed concentration and liquid volume cannot replace that instruction. [1]
This page therefore does not turn an arbitrary milligram amount into clicks. It explains the device distinction and calculates cost from the injections on the pack. If a pen cannot be set to the prescribed dose, or you are uncertain which presentation you received, ask the pharmacy before using it.

The 0.5 mg FlexTouch strength has more than one liquid-volume presentation. That is another reason to read the actual pack rather than identify a pen from a photograph or a concentration quoted elsewhere. [1]
The MHRA’s April 2026 announcement describes the single-dose 7.2 mg pen as an additional way of administering that prescribed weekly dose. Its authorisation does not mean that everyone using Wegovy should receive it. [2]
When several injections make one weekly dose
For a 2.4 mg FlexTouch pen, the tool has a separate option for a prescription specifying three 2.4 mg injections consecutively on the same day, forming one prescribed 7.2 mg weekly dose. Select it only if it matches the prescription you have been given. This option is not a recommendation to increase treatment. [1]
The arithmetic counts complete weekly doses. For example, one four-injection pen provides one complete three-injection weekly dose and leaves one labelled injection. That remaining injection is stock, not another complete weekly dose. Three such pens contain 12 labelled injections and therefore four complete weekly doses at that prescribed use.
The result displays both cost per labelled injection and the arithmetic cost of a complete weekly dose. These differ when the weekly prescription uses several injections. Storage and expiry rules still apply to every opened pen.
Compare the same treatment and included services
Enter the price per single pen, not a multi-pen box total. Keep consultation, delivery, follow-up and needle costs consistent when comparing offers. An apparently low injection price can be misleading when a different number of injections is needed each week.
The estimate does not check clinical eligibility, stock availability or the quality of a pharmacy. If your pack is not represented, leave the tool and ask the pharmacist to explain the labelled count. Read the delivery and storage guide and the instructions included with your own presentation.
