This page sets out, in plain English, what GLP1Guide.co.uk is and what it is not. It applies to every page, guide and calculator on the site.
Education, not medical advice
Everything on this site is general health information for UK readers. It is written to help you understand GLP-1 medicines and have better conversations with clinicians. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for any of those things.
No doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient or any other clinical relationship is created by reading this site, using its calculators or emailing us.
These are prescription-only medicines
Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Wegovy (semaglutide injections and tablets) and Ozempic are prescription-only medicines in the UK. Decisions about starting, stopping, switching or dosing them belong to you and a qualified prescriber who knows your medical history. Never change your dose or routine based on a website, including this one, without speaking to your prescriber or pharmacist first.
Always read the patient information leaflet supplied with your medicine. If anything on this site appears to differ from the leaflet or from your prescriber's guidance, the leaflet and your prescriber win.
Emergencies and side effects
If you think you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent but non-emergency advice, contact NHS 111. Do not wait for a reply from a website.
Suspected side effects from any medicine can be reported directly to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme. Reporting helps make medicines safer for everyone.
Accuracy and currency
We work hard to keep every page accurate and current. Medical claims are checked against primary sources: NICE technology appraisals, MHRA safety communications, GPhC standards, NHS guidance and peer-reviewed trials. Our editorial policy documents the full process.
Even so, medicine moves fast. Prices, availability, licensing and guidance can change between our updates. We make no guarantee that every detail is complete or up to date at the moment you read it, and we accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on the content.
External links and recommendations
We link to official sources and to independent pharmacy-checking services, including Monj.co.uk, iGovy.co.uk and oGovy.co.uk. These links are provided because they help readers find legitimate, verified UK pharmacies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any external site, and a link is not a guarantee of any provider's service. Always carry out the checks in our fake medicines guide before buying from anyone.
Calculators
Our calculators do arithmetic, not medicine. They present pen mechanics, dose counts and cost figures based on the information you enter and published product specifications. They cannot verify your prescription, your pen or your personal circumstances. If a calculator result and your prescriber's instructions ever disagree, follow your prescriber.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GLP1Guide.co.uk excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
