How Ozempic pen clicks work
Three Ozempic pens exist in the UK, and they are not interchangeable:

Like Wegovy's FlexTouch, each click moves 0.01 ml. So a 0.5 mg dose from the 1.34 mg/ml pen is about 37 clicks, while 2 mg from the 2.67 mg/ml pen is about 75 clicks. Select your pen above and the calculator does the rest.
A diabetes medicine first
Worth repeating, because the internet forgets: Ozempic is licensed in the UK for type 2 diabetes, not weight loss. If you are prescribed it for diabetes, this calculator helps you understand your pen and verify doses. Private buyers should be comparing licensed providers only, and remembering that Ozempic prescribed privately for weight loss is off-label in the UK.

How many clicks is 0.5 mg of Ozempic? +
From the standard 1.34 mg/ml pen, about 37 clicks (0.5 ÷ 1.34 × 100, since each click is 0.01 ml). The labelled method is to dial the dose selector to 0.5. Clicks are for verification and prescriber-guided adjustments only.
How much semaglutide is in each Ozempic pen? +
The starter pen contains 2 mg total, the 1.0 mg pen contains 4 mg, and the 2.0 mg pen contains 8 mg. Each pen is designed to deliver four weeks of treatment at its labelled dose.
Can I use an Ozempic pen for weight loss? +
Ozempic is not licensed for weight management in the UK. Wegovy is the licensed semaglutide product for that. Off-label Ozempic prescribing for weight loss also worsens shortages for people with diabetes.
What if I miss an Ozempic dose? +
Take it within 5 days if possible. After that, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your usual day.
Does Ozempic need refrigerating? +
Yes. Store at 2 to 8°C before first use. In use, a pen can be kept below 30°C for up to 6 weeks. Never freeze it.
