This policy explains what data GLP1Guide.co.uk collects when you use the site, why, and what rights you have under UK data protection law. The short version: this is a reading site. We do not have accounts, we do not run adverts, and we do not use tracking cookies.
Who we are
GLP1Guide.co.uk is an independent UK editorial project publishing guides and calculators about GLP-1 medicines. For data protection purposes, the site operator is the data controller. You can reach us at [email protected] about anything in this policy.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs. Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us, stored by us or seen by anyone. Close the tab and they are gone.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). These keep the site secure and running, and are deleted on a rolling basis by the host.
- Emails. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply for as long as needed to deal with it, then delete or archive it.
What we do not do
- No advertising or marketing trackers.
- No analytics cookies that follow you around the web.
- No accounts, logins or newsletters, so no stored profiles.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
We link to external sites such as the NHS, NICE, the MHRA, the GPhC and pharmacy-checking services. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Our legal basis
Under the UK GDPR, we process the small amount of data described above on the basis of legitimate interests: running a secure, functional website and replying to people who contact us. We do not process special category health data, and the site is designed so you never need to give us any.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because we hold so little, most requests will be simple. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add features that change how data is handled (for example a newsletter), we will update this page before switching them on. The current version always lives at this address.
