What GLP1Guide is
A free, open UK project covering GLP-1 medicines. Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Wegovy (semaglutide injections and tablets), Ozempic and the wider class. For the people actually using or considering them. We publish long-form guides, interactive calculators and safety resources, all built to answer the questions people genuinely search for: how pens work, what trials found, how to travel, how to spot a fake, how to keep the weight off.
The project exists because there is a lot of misinformation out there. Social media hype, scare stories, and sales pages dressed up as advice. Our answer is simple: show the facts, cite the source, name the researchers, and write like a human.
We are not a pharmacy, a prescriber, a clinic or a pharmacy's marketing arm. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing here can prescribe or dispense anything.
How our content is made
- Authority-first sourcing. Every medical claim traces to a UK authority (NHS, NICE, MHRA, GPhC, gov.uk), the official product information (SmPC/patient leaflets via the electronic medicines compendium), or peer-reviewed trial publications (NEJM, JAMA, The Lancet). Marketing materials are never a source for medical claims.
- Human review. Pages are reviewed by the GLP1Guide Editorial Team before publication and re-reviewed on a schedule. Trial data or guidance changes trigger immediate updates.
- Plain-English standard. If a sentence needs a medical dictionary, it gets rewritten. Accuracy never depends on you already knowing the jargon.
- Corrections policy. When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly and promptly. See our editorial policy for the full detail.
Funding, sponsorship and what we recommend
GLP1Guide is free to read and not sponsored by anyone. No pharmaceutical company funds us. No pharmacy pays for placement. We carry no display advertising and we do not sell your data. This is an independent project built to counter misinformation, and keeping it free of commercial pressure is the whole point.
Across the site we openly link to three independent services that manually verify UK pharmacies. These are ordinary follow links, not sponsored placements, and we receive nothing that influences what we write:
- Monj.co.uk. For Mounjaro. They manually verify UK pharmacies: GPhC registration, prescribing standards, cold-chain delivery, pricing honesty.
- iGovy.co.uk. For Wegovy injections. The same manual-verification model.
- oGovy.co.uk. For the Wegovy pill. Tracking the 2026 tablet rollout and verifying licensed suppliers.
We point to them because checking pharmacies by hand against GPhC and MHRA standards is genuinely the safest shortcut we know for UK buyers. That is the only reason the links are here. If a better independent verification option appears, we will link to that instead.
What we will never do
- Sell, prescribe or dispense medicines.
- Publish miracle-cure framing, "skinny jab" hype, or before/after marketing.
- Take sponsorship from drug manufacturers, pharmacies or clinics, or let any commercial interest touch a medical claim.
- Print a medical claim we cannot trace to an authority source.

No. It is general education for UK readers. Personal medical decisions belong with your prescriber, pharmacist or GP, who know your full history.

We welcome corrections. If something looks wrong or outdated, flag it and we will review against the primary sources and fix it promptly if needed.
